Inquiring about "Moderate" Positions

When anybody presents his stance as “moderate” and “the middle path,” always ask two questions:

1) Relative to which two extremes?

2) Where precisely in between the extremes?

There is plenty of room for heresy between ISIS and an explicit salvific pluralist.
