Daniel’s documentary has gone viral, predictably so. However, beneath the cinematic polish and emotionally charged rhetoric lies little more than recycled talking points that have long been addressed and thoroughly refuted here and here. This isn’t serious scholarship; it’s well-produced propaganda, engineered to manipulate rather than to inform.
The glossy visuals and dramatic tone may impress the uncritical viewer, but if you strip away the production value, you’re left with shallow arguments dressed up as insight. Thankfully, the response by brothers Jake and Knowledge North [here] offers a welcome contrast, measured, methodical, and filled with fresh perspectives I myself found enlightening. While it may not go viral, truth rarely does in a world addicted to outrage. Nevertheless, it is essential viewing for anyone genuinely interested in the topic and committed to thinking beyond the surface.
